Safer Together Consult Group

This group is exclusively for therapists who have completed the Safer Together course. You should be currently seeing couples in your practice and interested in applying trauma-informed, structural dissociation–informed concepts within your EFT work. You do not need to be EFT Certified to participate.

Presenters bring video of their couples sessions and receive direct consultation from Jamie. Observers participate by watching, listening, and asking questions, without presenting their own cases.

Both roles are full participants in the group. You choose your role when you apply, and it stays the same for the duration of the six-month cohort.

Not during a cohort; your role is set when you enroll. However, if you re-enroll for a future cohort, you can switch from Observer to Presenter (or vice versa.)

Perhaps an Observer will begin trying these techniques in their sessions and will decide they want direct feedback; or perhaps a Presenter wants to continue in the group for the next round, but needs a break from showing their work. These changes are welcome for those who re-enroll for the group. 

Absolutely. All Safer Together graduates are eligible regardless of when they took the course. And as a group member, you'll receive free access to the self-paced course recordings so you can refresh the material at your own pace! 

Sessions are not recorded, to honor the confidentiality of the couples whose work is being presented. So attendance matters. If you need to miss a session, you won't be able to access a recording, but your spot in the group remains. We all need to miss on occasion; just let Jamie know in advance.

Jamie reviews each application to ensure the group composition supports a productive and safe learning environment for everyone. This is not a skills evaluation; it's about creating the right mix of participants. If there are more applicants than spots, a wait-list will be maintained.

The initial cohort runs June through December 2026 (with a month off in August). At the end of the six months, members will have the opportunity to re-enroll for an additional cohort. This structure allows Jamie to maintain attentive group facilitation and gives members a natural decision point about continuing.

No, CE credits are not offered for this consultation group. However, since you are granted access to the Safer Together course again as part of taking the group, you could take it a second time for 7 CEs through Alliant, if you are not taking it in the same calendar year. (For instance, you could complete the course assessment quiz and apply for CEs again in January, 2027.) 

That's completely fine. If you want help applying these concepts now, sign up for the Presenter role and get help immediately. Jamie will give you ideas about how to use the processes from the course with the couple(s) you present.

Or if you want to watch others try to apply the concepts before deciding whether to move in this direction in your own work, that is exactly what the Observer role is designed for. You don't need to be actively applying the material to benefit from the group. Watching Jamie consult on other therapists' cases is one of the most effective ways to deepen your understanding before trying it yourself.

All sessions are held via Zoom.

Jamie will gather information from potential group members about their availability and plan group day and time accordingly. The group will meet once per month from June through December, with a break in August.
